Yep, his only knock that I see is his speed. He isn't slow by any means, but doesn't have that top notch speed necessary for the tip top level. He runs a 4.6 40 by the way. If he was slightly faster he would have way more offers and he already has several FBS offers as it stands. With his size and hands though, he could be a real factor at the FCS level.

In the official UCD Aggie Athletics new release it notes that Cloud lettered in swimming in high school also. That struck me as being pretty impressive when you think of a 6' 290 guy competing in swimming. Can you imagine the volume of water he would be pushing!

Never understood why we don't focus more on the East Bay, South Bay, Central Valley ... Hawkins said he wanted to focus more here. I think it's great news.

We recently brought in some great recruits from Arizona, but 2-3 studs quickly left. Those departures really hurt. My wild guess is that it would be easy to oversell them, and / or the transition from Arizona might be tough for them to anticipate. ... Kids from Northern Cal have a better understanding of who we are, a rainy winter, etc. Family, friends, girlfriends can see them play and visit more often.

Offer that I must have missed somewhere along the line. We have offered RB Dante Berggren. He has offers from UC Davis, Fresno, and New Mexico. He has since posted a picture of himself on twitter wearing an Aggie hat. Looks like we have a chance of landing him.

Actually... something weird on Berggren. He actually graduated in 2015 so he has been at a JC? But I haven't been able to find anything about that either... now I'm confused on this one. I'll leave it up on the list for now, but I'm not sure of the backstory here.

Attended Modesto Junior College. Couldn't find any recruiting information on this player out of HS. Awaiting backstory - if he does, in deed, sign with Davis.
