CHULA VISTA — Running backs, receivers, even quarterbacks can celebrate when they score a touchdown.
What about linemen?

“Pancake blocks are our TDs,” said Otay Ranch High center-turned-tackle Zak Rachow. “Every time we go to the line, we’re thinking of putting the guy opposite us on his back. First you have to make sure you make a hole for the running back, but you want to drive the opponent back, too.

“While backs get to celebrate when they score, we celebrate, too, when we make a pancake block. Officials are watching the guy score a TD, but because we’re there in the middle of the line we can get away with a few things. But once you get that pancake block, it’s good to just help your opponent up."

Tyler Mello has decommitted.

Unfortunately that was predicted the second he got the Fresno State offer. Even after he committed to Davis and before he got the offer from Fresno he was only liking Fresno State football tweets. Kid would have been a beast, but both Buchannan and Sarac look impressive.

That's OK. He has to live in Fresno ... for 5 years. Good luck to him. Maybe he can become buddies w Tumey.

Rening officially decommits and commits to Montana State. That was a long time coming.

Yeah, he deleted his commitment to Davis tweet a LONG time ago and has been liking MSU tweets for quite some time. I just didn't take him off our commitment list because he never put out a statement saying that he had decommitted. He was definitely a talent so sucks to lose out on him, but the show will go on.

We already have a KILLER recruiting class.

We need another running back. We haven’t recruited anyone playable after the Thomas & Gilliam class in 2017, and Thomas will be coming off an injury.

We don't know what we have with our other 2-3-4 RBs that got hit with injuries .... Facey is a little fireplug, does he have college speed?

We need people who can rush the passer...

we know they weren’t recruited by anyone, and we haven’t seen anything from them.

Look at this guy's film as a RB. He definitely has speed and appears that tacklers are missing him. I don't know if it is lesser competition, but he does show speed.

DL Noa Masui *** 6'6 250 St John Bosco High School; DL Princeton Toki 5'11 330 Salesian High School; and LB Teddye Buchanan*** look like great adds.

Still an outstanding class. D line is a need and we've got at least 2 studs there, and a stud LB.

Next year a more favorable schedule, this year was a gauntlet, and we battled. Lots of injuries, but no excuses. Go Ags!

Catching up on some posts regarding the students not coming to football games. Did you see this about Ole Miss vrs. Miss State? Miss WR catches TD and dog pisses in the end zone. Flag. 15 yards. Kicker misses PAT. Miss losses. We do not have stupid students and when they see this type of egregious conduct on the football field.they are very turned off as am I. Watch on NYT/Wash post video. Very bad indeed.

I saw that and, the thing that is even more astonishingly poor judgment, is that the player was repeating the stupid TD celebration that another Ole Miss player had done that originally in 2017. Stupidity breeds stupidity.

I saw that in a reply too. Then the coach goes on to say that “we are not that team and the player is not that kind of player” - well to keep in present tense I would say evidently you are. How about saying “we will correct this” and then do it.
