1.1kWe just landed another recruit! We got a commitment from 3 star WR Kristian Gilbert from St John Bosco!

1.1kI like that we have created a little pipeline from St John Bosco to UC Davis with Nas Anesi, Jared Harrell, and now Kristian Gilbert. St John Bosco is regularly one of the top high school teams in the entire country and their talent is definitely welcome at Davis in my opinion.

1.1kI just realized something, we don't have a punter for next season. We haven't recruited any punters that I have been able to find. Are we going to hit up the JC ranks or find a true freshman?

1.1kDId some research tonight and the closest I can find to us going after a punter is that we had Daniel Whelan from Rancho Mirage HS visit back in September. Currently ranked as the 6th best punter in the country by Chris Sailer Kicking. Big body (6'6 200), good GPA (4.1), and had a ridiculous punting average this last season (44.4). Offer him now!

1.1kSounds like the coaches are hitting the recruiting trail this week. Hopefully we will make some new offers and potentially land some commitments! It will be interesting to see what all can be accomplished without having a head coach... I mean, we have gotten two commitments (King and Gilbert) since the announcement that Gould would not be brought back.

743OT, 6'5", 250#s, reportedly great grades... skipped football his junior year, so he is a late bloomer. Sounds like a sleeper. Montana and UNLV also sniffing around... Montana HC Stitt had an in home visit recently.

1.1kI don't know if Rayas has committed, but I think we may have made him an offer. It at least sounds like we did to me. I still think the commit from last night will turn out to be Trimble. The area code from McCann's tweet matches Westlake Village and Trimble's coach liked the tweet. We'll see though.

Cam Trimble** had offers from Nevada and Cornell - great combo, he sounds like the perfect Aggie! Also took a visit to Boise State. 6'1", 220#, Defensive MVP in his conference, 1st team all league and 1st team all county.
Interesting that most of our early commits were on offense. -

1.1kYou're good. Trimble looks underrated to me. He has size, speed, skill, and hits like a truck. I would be happy if he did commit.
