I saw a quick video and it looks like Bora and DeBruhl were packing up so I assume/hope they are available.

I thought I read that we’d be at full strength, but not sure if that covers Ba and Shaw or just COVID guys

But the win over ucsd doesn’t count in the BW standings so basically this is our first league game.

Cal Polu is 0-2 and I expect an Aggie win tonight. Meanwhile, Hawaii i starting to look a lot better than expected. They beat UCI 72-56.

Horrible start on both ends. Down 21-9 midway through first

32-18 with 3 to go. They are lights out at 55%, we’re cold and sloppy

Anigwe has really come along.

I couldn't focus on the game until the second half. What the heck are the Aggies doing? They have twice as many turnovers and it doesn't look like they've played very good defense.

Ags have tended to be able to come back from large deficits. Let's see what they do.

Free throw points: Cal Poly 26 (out of 32), UCD 7 (out 0f 12). I've seen a lot of basketball games but I', pretty sure I've never seen this lopsided a game in one teams favor. I'm not saying the officials were biased but it makes me wonder.

Poly came out with more energy and aggression at the start. They were changing their defenses often and we couldn't get into an offensive rhythm while they were hot and shot 55%. We had 32 points in the paint but did not shoot well from distance. We battled back but couldn't take the lead once we tied it up. On the road again next week too.

I think that mostly reflected the style of play. They thought they had an advantage inside and pounded in there (plus they don’t shoot well). We hung outside except for Angwie, who probably should have gone to the line more often. I think he often doesn’t get call because his foot work gets goofy and the contact isn’t as obvious. Same with Fuller inside

Talk about a team that plays to its opponent. Look really good in beating Oregon state and Utah st, and twice to UoP, but look bad at losing to lower ranked teams like slo, Pepperdine, and sac st. (Oh and the poets). Some inconsistencies can be blamed on such an uneven schedule, but hopefully we find some sort of consistency game to game.

Les played 8, 5 played over 32 minutes. It looks like Les doesn't trust his bench.

I seem to recall the commentators saying that the Aggies only had 9 players available.

they said 9 scholarship players, but I gotta think that meant 9 total. Borra never played, and DeBruhl only a few. Not sure why Adebayo only got 8 minutes despite starting. Got to think Borra and DeBruhl aren’t back in playing condition.

McGill hasn’t been seen in awhile.

I think adebayos lack of time was more due to slo defense. The 1-3-1 zone that they played forced us to try and get better shooters in the game. Could be something more…
