the time zones don’t match how we visualize the states. Alabama and part of Florida are central time but all of Michigan is eastern time.

Makes a little more sense when I look at the map. You don't realize how far west the atlantic coast angles. So Alabama and Maine both being East Coach time would be kind of crazy.

Western Alabama is due south of Chicago, which is Central Time.

the city of Montgomery gave them a time limit and they passed it, would have to be 5 minutes left or less to declare a winner

We can't count on 7 wins with a smaller bubble this year (Ivy League auto bid) and past experiences with the committee.

Probably means we need to beat 8/10 (in other words, winning every game not MSU and UW including three current top 20 teams) to be a lock. Doable, but frustrating that the schedule situation is already stacked against us Week 1
