He got cut under the eye. They were speculating he may need stitches.

I like Suljanovic - I think he's gonna to be a nice addition.

I had forgotten about Jalen Stokes. I watched him the past few years at Daugherty Valley in San Ramon.

I hope the Ags continue to hit 3s the way they did today. Six players hit at least one and the team combined for an NBA worthy 48%, which kind of compensated for all the missed layups. I don't know about the officiating, with 48 fouls called and 57 free throws attempted. Maybe the refs were trying out new whistles?

Not a bad first game. Some serious issues finishing close to the hoop but great 3 shots and at decently high scoring. The defense wasnt terrible either but I felt similar issues in defending the rim in the same places we had trouble shooting.

It looks like we have much more depth this year which is something we haven't had for a long time. You can see the potential that this team has but it's going to take some time for them to come together and iron out the wrinkles but I think the pieces are there for a pretty good team. We're going to take our lumps in the preseason but Les will have this team battle tested and ready for the conference.

There is a fence like metal railing all along the length of the court now. It looked terrible on TV...like a barrier to keep fans off the court. I've never seen anything like that in a basketball arena. What's up with that?

I made the same observation from a photograph - it will also intrude the sight lines of some. I love the fans close to the action, especially w a full house. Somebody in Hickey has too.much free time

From our seats i didn’t notice the railing although i didn’t walk down to court side. I’ll take a closer look Wednesday.

“I was really pleased with the depth we showed tonight,” Les said.

“We got some really good production off the bench and that gives me a lot of confidence when those guys are in there. When we share the ball and spread the floor, we have a lot of guys who can make shots. We did get an early lead, then didn’t handle prosperity very well, but things were much more focused in the second half.”

Enjoyed the energy in the crowd for last nights game. This team is going to live and die with pace of play. If they can rebound (or create turnovers) and get out in the break, they’ll be very competitive. If they get sucked into a half court game, things might be more difficult. Really liked a few of the newcomers. Most surprised with freshman Chas Rawlings from Folsom. He still needs to get stronger, but he played with a confidence that most first game freshman don’t. Omer started and is a gifted offensive player. He will need to toughen up his defense. Also looking forward to Fagbeymi when he gets over his wrist issue. Essos-Essis was in a boot so not sure what his prognosis will be. All in all, this should be a fun team to watch this season. And if some of the younger players develop over the season we will be a tough out come BW tourney.

It appears that we have a lot of young talent and it will take a while for them to develop and grow into the pace and physicality of the college game. I hope that the injuries to Fagbeymi and Essos-Essis are not too serious and that we get to see them in action pretty soon also. The game against NDSU will be a tough test for us on Wednesday.

Yeah NDSU will be tough as they pushed Oregon st last night. This will definitely be a building year. We may have some issues early, but hopefully we’ll be playing our best come BW season
