The schedule is 12 games. It's done. It's not announced because different conferences announcing schedules at different times. It is not a "FBS schedule" as promised.

I just looked at Sac's men's basketball schedule. They are 4-11 overall and 0-3 in the Big Sky. Three of those four wins are against D-II teams: Dominican, Jessup and San Francisco State. Both Dominican and Jessup list the Sac State game as an exhibition game and do not count the game in their won-loss records. San Franicsco State is 2-12 overall and 1-7 in the CCAA. Presbyterian is a D-1 team with an 8-10 overall record and 1-2 in the Big South.

SF State is another California State Univeristies & Colleges school whose athletic program is on life support. Their website lists only four men's sports: basketball, cross-country, track & field, and wrestling.

What's not hilarious is that we only beat them by four points.

That was with Cherry playing and contributing 20 points, 9 rebounds. That has been a big loss for them.

Sac State athletics land a five-year, $7.5 Million partnership with Wilton Rancheria and and Sky River Casino.

It supposedly goes towards football and basketball, and also Native American studies.

In the YouTube video, Wood says that Sac "will be playing an FBS schedule in 2026" and the reporter says that apparently another big announcement about football is coming soon.

According to "FBSschedules.com", Sac has scheduled 6 games for the 2026 football season, 5 against FCS programs and 1 against an FBS program.

The best thing Dr. Wood can do for the Sac football program is not to say anything, let the AD do the talking.

Sac is anxiously waiting for the MAC right now. MAC is interested in SAC as football-only member to add a new time zone to their nationally televised games. There is a 12-game FCS/FBS schedule in the hopper if it doesn't pan out, but SAC needs an answer soon because they will have to buy out couple FCS games if they move to the MAC effective 7/1/26.

Booster rumors indicate MAC is also in discussions with Illinois State, which doesn't necessarily rule out SAC too. I was told expect to hear Sac to MAC or full mixed schedule executed in the next couple weeks, but a reliable poster told me in a DM that it was a longer timeline than that. Not sure how much longer SAC can wait...
