There were a couple additional QBs that I had heard were going to be there about the time when Kollock came in. I also heard someone was on an LDS mission and would be joining the room, but not sure if that is one of these guys or someone else. I know Plough is a QB guy, but man, there are a lot of them on roster! Guess has been moved to WR, any other potential moves to TE or Safety you think?

The QB on a mission is Ty Miller from Clovis East.
Miller committed to play quarterback at UC Davis, but he won't start his freshman year until 2027. Miller understands he is likely to end up at another position. He said so in an hometown media interview.
Plough didn’t mention yesterday the QB from Idaho, Jack Brant.

Anything to see practice-wise this weekend in person?

I'd love to be at practice this weekend in person! Aint happening though. Here's what I'd be most curious about:

1. Overall QB "battle". Rep distribution, how'd they look/execute
2. How's the Tight End group? I thought the Cal/Fortuna kid came on towards the end of spring, looked more athletic than he did early. Williams back at 100 yet?
3. Who's playing LT and are they holding up? Guessing it was the 6'3" kid with RT experience who they moved in spring
4. Who is RB2 and RB3?
5. How are Porter and Rex progressing?
6. Is the DL as good as I think they are?
7. What's the story on the Kicker spot?

I think I remember Plough saying something about liking the 100 degree heat during the fall preseason camp. I guess he feels like it adds a layer of adversity and helps the players get used to competing in the heat and helps them get into shape. It looks like he got his wish with the forecast showing multiple 100 degree days in the week ahead. The heat will be less in the mornings but it's still gonna be hot!

Only person I could see coming back that this would help is Ian Simpson of maybe Jayden Stanley given our lack of depth at those spots. Issue would be getting them enrolled in school in time for the season. This is also assuming they are still in football shape.

It only applies to class of ‘22 players who exhausted their eligibility in four years, in other words never redshirted. Both Stanley and Simpson started in ‘21.. Rocak in ‘20

I don't know man. I looked through all of the Big Sky rosters and we are quite literally the only program to not have our roster updated to include the freshmen yet. Some of the other teams don't have roster pictures up yet, but the talk of some folks thinking we can go FBS sounds cheap when we can't even update our rosters online in a timely fashion.

Several players posted commitments just in the last few months. Could be they were late additions to replace losses, so i’m real curious to see the roster.

The SID is run with interns and fellowships. That was one of the cost cutting moves. This issue ranks pretty low on the problems list.

I'm not going to say it's the biggest issue or anything, but we shouldn't be the lone Big Sky team not able to get a simple task like this done on time for fall camp.

The roster issue is a multi year problem. Errors that they make there are sometimes reflected in national media, and have in past years cost at least one player league and national recognition. I can give examples, but I’d be repeating myself. Most errors don’t reflect a lack of resources, just lack of attention to detail.

Another quarterback who is scheduled to join the Aggies is Colton Tannerbaum, who was a redshirt sophomore for the Arizona Wildcats during the 2025 season.

Cole Tannenbaum appears not to have been played in 2025, he was a redshirt sophomore in 2024. He entered the transfer portal in April of 2025. He only has a single year of eligibility left based on the five year rule. He is a grad transfer according to Plough.

SID used to have at least three full time employees. That's a long slow summer not to update the list on our #1 sport, share it with FB, and add revisions. Line it up next to can't give away football playoff tickets. Our budget isn't spartan.

The Athletics Department has posted a press release stating that 10 Aggies have made the following FCS Phil Steele All American Teams but they don't appear to be listed on the proper teams as shown in the official Phil Steele release:

The athletic department release is about the All Big Sky Team.
On Steele’s All Big Sky team, Jaden Green from Lehigh now at Cal Poly is 2nd team, Jordan Fisher is third team. I think Jordan is more deserving, not only did he face better defenses but he has more rushing and receiving yards.

Does anyone know if there is an alternative to paying ESPN+ for an unreliable and poorly produced broadcast of Aggie games? I could only find that ESPN will broadcast the game v. Eastern Washington.

According to the schedule all the games are on espn+ except EW and SMU. I Don’t know of any other alternative.
