Awesome interview of an amazing athlete and person. Does this mean she has made the Skys roster or has just been invited to camp?

She's been in camp, and as far as I can tell from social media and the Sky's roster page, is in the final 13 players. I think??? they need to make one more cut, but there's something going on with an injury to one of the other players that may mean that they are actually at their 12 official roster players.

What a wonderful interview with Morgan. She's not only a an outstanding athlete but she's also bright, articulate and humble with an a wonderful personality to boot. Being in the WNBA has been a dream of hers and I sure hope she makes the Chicago Sky roster.

Morgan got the start in today's Sky game against Minnesota*.

Played 25 minutes, shot 4-7 (0-2 from deep), 4-4 FT. End line was 12 pts, 5 reb, 2 ass, 2 blocks.

NOT BAD!

She always could score. Her issue was defense against quality opponents. This was a great sign that this doubt has been resolved. Fabulous block because it was not just the typical jumper block, but a block that showed she was focused on wherever her opponent was coming from with the ball. Love Mo.

So she has a sister named Megan who is also good at basketball ? How about that ? Lol JK

Looks like she had 6 points in 20 minutes in the first league game.

She started the game. Pretty fair stat line: 3-7 from the field, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks and 4 fouls. The only negative stat was a -10 +/- (points differential while the player is on the floor) which is a rather nebulous stat but the pros use it. It is considered a measure of how the player impacts the team when they are in the game. Regardless, the Sky HC seems to think Morgan is ready for the WNBA game.

To be fair, Napeesa Collier, US WBB Olympian, was -9 for the game. :D

This game is versus Phoenix with the return of Brittney Griner to her home court. What an experience this will be for Morgan!

I watched the game and Morgan played well. She was a starter again. She had one of her beautiful, patented spin moves for a bucket. Nobody could stop those spin moves when she was an Aggie and it looks like is still works as a pro.

Coach Wade was asked about her in the post-game interviews and basically said that they like how she plays the game, she fits their style of basketball, they have a lot of faith in her abilities, and he thinks she'll improve a bunch with the amount of playing time she is getting.

Morgan has an ankle injury so didn’t play in yesterdays game. Hope it’s a short term injury

This website has Morgan listed as not returning until mid-June. There are currently 5 Chicago Sky players out and two are listed as "out indefinitely."

my initial thought was “oh man that sucks”. Then I realized that mid June is only two weeks away. Still sucks that she can’t capitalize on her starting gig, but hopefully she’s back strong in a few weeks
