What a bummer

Bummer. Real bummer especially with so many opportunities. This game was winnable. I don’t know if it’s the lack of depth or just pressure on the passing but damn. Fire the team up for next week and get into the playoffs.

Just no answers on offense when it mattered in the second half. We were all worried how the defense would hold up on the road against such a strong, balanced opponent, but offensively I was disappointed tonight with the execution on money downs. All stemming from pass pro breakdowns -- completely inconsistent protection for #12.

This team has to finish drives with touchdowns next week, period.

6 sacks and QB pressure on nearly every down was the story in my eyes.
Davis defense played pretty great.
I think Plough might talk about how he wasn’t able to get his QB more time in the pocket. Might have just been impossible, as Montana State is just as good as advertised all over the field.

Pinnick carried 22 times (5 more than Fisher). The offense wasn’t able to function properly due to MSU’s great second half QB pressure.

It all was the result of the two picks which gave MSU 14 points. The game could have been tied in the 4th quarter and that last TD might not have happened. I feel bad for Pinnick and hope he can shake it off next week. He accounted for 304 yards and that pick six looked like a miscommunication with the receiver. No way was he passing to the DB. The game the Bobcat twins reminds me how much we miss Rex and Porter Conners. If they had been in this game, it could easily have turned out very differently.

Thought they handed us 21 points in the 1st quarter and we only took 7….. Ints were the decision maker.

I didn't expect to win and thought we would lose by a fairly substantial amount, but this game was hard to watch because we could have won or at least made it very close. Too many dropped passes, and a couple of bad passes. The worst was the miss to Dixon that would have been a TD. Pinnick just had to put a little loft in the ball. Not everything has to be a rifle shot.

Very hard to win against elite teams when we’re missing so much top end talent

6 sacks, 7 TFL, I don't recall our O line having these many issues this year. We kept our defense off the field, which was great, but still gave up a lot of big chunk plays.

We missed Carter Vargas, he might have opened up some inside runs. We were outscored 24 - 0 in Q2 and Q3.

New contributors. The Cleeland throw off a double pass seemed risky - throwing it up for grabs. Kai Acia ended up with 37 yards rushing and 7.4 APC. Time to get him the ball earlier? We need RB depth for a potential playoff run.

… referencing pass to Simpson …… just watching 2nd half on Sunday …too late to stay up on east coast. I think there was miscommunication. First look seemed lock Pinnick just threw right to defender, but end zone view looked like he expected Simpson to break to middle but Simpson just sat down at a spot.

We have been bringing ours in without issue. They will definitely be in my carry on saturday.
