The Gauchos will be seeking redemption for their 86-93 loss to UC Davis at the Thunderdome a month ago. It is still the best offensive production by the Aggies in Big West play this year. While scoring 21 points over what UCSD has allowed all seasons, the Ags had six players score in double figures. That game saw the return of Gaucho point guard Miro Little, who had been injured. He scored 20 that night. Fans should note too the name of C. J. Shaw, a backup guard who in his last four games has averaged 13.5 ppg. It’s not good that Santa Barbara has ripped out six straight wins since they lost that game to the Ags and are in the running for a top seed in the conference at 8-3 tied with Hawai`i who also won on Saturday. On January 22 they trounced Cal Poly 107-67, the same Cal poly who in turn trounced Bakersfield. Looking at how both teams have been playing of late, I have a bad feeling about this game.
