I don't think a hoping for a win here is overly realistic, but strange things happen every season! I think the most important thing is to try to stay as injury free as possible going into conference play.
The teams we should be scheduling in the west are the ones remaining in the Mountain West, where if they are having a down year are beatable. Not many years are we going to be competitive with Washington.
Blowout losses have a long term negative impact on image of the team.
Why not start Harper this weekend. Change it up and see what he can do. I understand the money games and the chance to play FBS teams like the Huskies. But there is so much to risk with a promising Aggies group this year. I would have much rather seen a game with Stanford. Go,Ags!
The game looks like it will be broadcast on Big Ten Network (BTN), which is owned by Fox Sports. If you have cable, you may already get this channel. Otherwise you can do a free trial of Fox ONE app, Hulu Live TV or Fubo, if you have not previously redeemed a free trial. Just make sure to cancel if you don’t intend to keep those services because they are expensive. There is a B10+ streaming app but that appears to be for all the minor sports not on the mainline cable channels, so I don’t think that will help you here.
Its like $82. This is for people who would want lots of channels they'll probably never watch as well....I'm sure there are cheaper ways to get exactly what you want.
I know people who are still paying around $160 for cable. Its nuts.
What haven’t you liked from a Freshman QB with all young weapons? Looks like the coaches said they game planned for wrong defense and he had to play on the spot.
Aggienation818: Nothing. I thought he has done well in the two games he’s played. There’s a tremendous upside with him. The UW game is a great opportunity for Harper to play. Like Movielover said start Pinnick and give Harper some reps.
Pinnick has taken quite a few shots.....and he's likely going to take a few more Saturday.
Giving him and some other starters some time off if things are out of hand in the 2nd half is good idea. Having a week off after this one is going to help a lot. Good scheduling.
I'd love to see Caden throw it in the food trucks instead of take a hit going out of bounds for a couple-yard loss. (that's my only critique, he's been great!)
Thanks for the correction. Sometimes I get too excited about my "discoveries" and don't look them over carefully. I did find a football site that had the Aggies winning 30-13, but dismissed it as just incredible. The more credible sites had no data yet. Live and learn.
that money at Cal probably goes farther than higher amounts elsewhere. Bus trip and connections with Bay and UC employees are worth so much but cost little.
I agree that I prefer MW games since there is a chance you could win or keep it close, though in-state games against old Pac 12 teams is okay with me for recruiting and off field reasons.
As a fan of both Cal and UCD, I personally hate when they play each other due to my shared fandom but I like that the money stays in system and keeps travel costs low.
I'm really excited for the game at Wazzu. I'm 1 hr and 15 mins away and we try to go to either 1 UI or Wazzu game a year depending on opponent or game time. Would like to also see Wazzu this year but the schedule doesn't work for me with the first two games at night, then sold out Apple Cup, and then no home game until the end of Oct when it starts getting cold.
I like UCLA and San Diego State as OOC opponents for recruiting purposes. SoCal is where its at as far as that goes (for us).
We should play San Jose State more - they haven't popped up since we beat them in '18 for the 2nd time.
