MW teams seem to be getting picked apart in the portal like the BigSky, so I don't think scheduling good FCS opponents early on makes a bunch of sense for them.
FCS teams are getting picked apart too. Probably more so.
Davis has been an exception based on the value of a UC degree, but there will be fewer grad transfers now that COVID era players have aged out.
So a win would be nice, but what are the realistic expectations for this game. A fat paycheck, get out healthy, see how we can compete against a solid fbs program. Other thoughts?
I think that about sums it up. The money and barometer against a legit FBS team are nice, but the absolute biggest thing is coming out of the game healthy. We have a bye week after, but we don't need to be sustaining any major injuries in the game that doesn't really matter (unless we do somehow win).
In a very subtle way, they alluded to Plough "showing up" for these interviews a couple of times in this clip. Wonder if the folks across the causeway are being flaky..
Shocking, seeing as Wood and Cowboy Hat love pumping any and all media outlets that'll have them take up time. You'd think Sac Sports Radio would still get a lot of listeners - but I imagine it's not what it was 20 years ago, still, whenever I'm in the Sac Area, I still listen to 1140 KHTK, shoot, I'll get it at the point near my house when the weather's right, can catch an Aggie game if I can't make it. The radio play-by-play call for Davis Football is still top notch...and they stream online for a clear signal.
