I’m pretty sure Big 10 and free don’t often appear in the same sentence. If you have Hulu live tv or YouTube live tv you could DVR it. Or I think Fox Sports app has B10 replays. None are inherently free but have free trial offers if you haven’t previously tried them.
I saw a few games in Husky Stadium and the fans there are very raucous. That's where the Wave was invented after all. It's a pretty intimidating place to play, so I hope Coach Plough will have his team ready.
The Wave was invented by professional cheerleader "Krazy George" Henderson at an Oakland Athletics playoff game in Oakland, California, on October 15, 1981. Henderson perfected the wave during earlier events, including a hockey game in 1980 in Denver, Colorado, and an Edmonton, Canada game the same year. The first documented and televised use of the wave was during the A's game, which became the event that launched the wave's widespread popularity.
Edit:
AI also says this:
Though Henderson's wave was the first documented version, the University of Washington also claims a version of the wave at Husky Stadium on Halloween 1981. However, the side-to-side motion seen globally today is widely attributed to Henderson's 1981 A's game.
I’m watching the Iowa - Iowa State game and the camera work is horendous. All tight shots away from the play, worst I’ve ever noticed. Not used to watching fox so i hope this isn’t typical
All I know is that UW took credit for it and so did Ron Weller, the former host of Entertainment Tonight who used to be a cheerleader for the Huskies. I always hated it and thank goodness I don't see it much anymore.
What I find a bit ironic about this game is that on an academic level UC Davis and the University of Washington are equal in that both are among a rare number of large state universities that generate a high level of research, grant the doctorate, have a medical school and a law school. This is a subcategory of the Carnegie 1 classification, yet on the football field this is a mismatch. I haven't researched this, but I think UCD is the only public university at this level with an FCS football program.
How long to get a facility upgrade? Three years? The MWC is prime for UC Davis right now, football maybe a year or two away, but crazy how this is looking right now for the Aggies.
you could have read my mind and out would have come this response. It’s pretty crazy to read the stats academically, financially and facilities wise (plans and in place) comparing us to many other schools in the MWC
