From Bob Dunning's "The Wary One" Substack column:

“They are such a great ball team, and I thank our coaches for having us ready to play,” said Cooper, whose incredible stat line along with those 26 points included 8 of 10 on field goals, 3 of 4 on treys, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.

“The hardest thing to do in basketball is to go on the road and get a win, especially against an opponent like Nevada,” Cooper added.

Aggie head coach Jim Les praised his team’s resilience and its ability to match the Pack shot for shot down the stretch.

“We had a next play mentality tonight,” said Les.

“We just stayed with it and Nevada was never able to get any separation.”

The Aggie coach also had praise for Cooper.

“He just brings his lunch pail to practice every day and works so hard, and tonight he made a three in the guts of the game,” said Les.

Nevada coach Steve Alford gave credit where credit was due.

“It was a hard fought game between two pretty even teams but they did a lot better job in the last five minutes,” said Alford.

“They made better plays offensively at the end and better plays defensively.”

Rocak was thrilled with his crucial trey near the end, saying “It’s a shot I work on a lot in practice. My teammates and my coaches are always telling me to take it, so that gives me confidence. Thanks to them, I was able to knock it down. It was an amazing win for us. We knew the game was over when Connor went to the free throw line at the end. We’re going to enjoy it tonight and then it’s back to business to get ready for Colorado.”

I figured out how I could have watched it playing around this morning. The MW.com site is not great - there was no replay available this morning, and the number of replays accessible was pretty limited.

Let me know if they do put the replay up on the site. I've been waiting as well.

Me too. I'd really like to see this game.

I feel like this win is an early watershed moment for this team. They now know that they can compete with teams on the level of Nevada. I've seen us play good teams like this in the past where we stayed in the game for a while but faded down the stretch but this team has the depth to keep competing for a whole 40 minutes and that's a huge step forward for us to be able to compete with a higher level of competition.

This win on top of the close loss to WCC Portland are a good sign. I'm not holding my breath for the CU game...

the encouraging sign for me on this game is just how young our team is. Last year (was it just last year!) we beat GC at their place, but we had a veteran lineup of TY, DeBruhl, Tomba(who is at LSU now), Nico and Lose. This year we start, alongside Nico, two Juniors who are just stepping into a leadership roles, and two freshman. Not to mention the sophomores and freshman who are getting significant playing time off the bench. That win last year felt like that was the best we could play...last night's win feels more like a stepping stone.

don’t hold your breath. In the archives I see the San Jose gene from Monday, and then one from last Saturday. It’s certainly not like ESPN+ where all the games (I believe) are there and very soon after the conclusion.
