The enterprise has quotes from Rhode Island coach’s post game press conference. Anybody find it?

I only saw a couple of sentences from the Rhody coach essentially saying Pinnick hurt them with his legs.

I'll just say, maybe it was out of consideration for their flight back -- but a post-game interview is standard for the head coach after any game, especially a playoff game. URI should conduct this with the local press following the game.

gotta be flight and travel considerations especially at the late hour for them.

i know this is off-topic, but am i the only one who thought the guy with the giant gold chain and URI logo was classless? i've always thought showboating with team jewelry just makes your program look like trash.

Great to hear about the Facebook growth! It's all of these platforms: social media, message boards, THE Pod, etc. that contribute to spreading the gospel of what's happening with Aggie Football and grow fan bases. Fired-up to be a part of it, and if I was on The Facebook, I would join!

I'm retiring from Rocket Dog posts (we've spelled her name 4 different ways). I'll give her another shot this week.

Kai has done a nice job, very solid #2 type. Holds onto the ball, hits it where he's supposed to, doesn't do too much. My gut tells me Vargas plays this week. I watched him run and jump around and celebrate a TD last Saturday night and thought, "he's ready to come back."

By the way, losing coaches are required, or at least expected, to appear before the press after NCAA Championships games. They flew charter, the plane will wait.

Healthy Vargas would be HUGE this week.

But there was a press conference but no video. There are quotes from Fleming in the Enterprise, reportedly from a post game press conference

Sad to say, but the student section is going to be empty this Saturday. The dorms close for winter break at noon on Saturday, leaving the on-campus population pretty much unable to attend the game, unless they expect us to haul our luggage to the stands. We had a huge turnout last week in the middle of finals week prep, and we want to go out and support our boys, but it doesn't seem possible at the moment.

Welcome to the board. Last week the student crowd was awesome. Hopefully some students can show up this week. Enjoy your well deserved break.

I was encouraged by the number of older students in the stands last week (I’m hoping those Sudwerk cans I saw were purchased legally). Maybe some will be there this week.

lmao they used the clips from the clowns on the Hack City Podcast for crying over the seeding. That is fantastic.

Why are we assuming the student section will be barren due to the dorms closing? Only freshmen live in the dorms which still leaves 3/4 of the student population who still has a place to stay in Davis. Do students stop going to football games when they become sophomores or something?

I was wondering that too. Most students in apartments, etc.

Did anyone else notice the ESPN announcer was the guy that does the Poly games? Watched it when I got back from CA. Much better camera work than the normal ESPN+ feed.

I’m thinking that anyone who has their last final today (or earlier) probably isn’t sticking around town unless they need a weekend ride.

Most of the students that I've met around the tailgates have been upperclassmen by a wide margin. CMT is onto something; hopefully the game marketing is ramped up in the common spaces and dining halls and around town. The good DrMike brings up a very valid point as well as far as rides out of town. Going to be interesting... $1 beer and $1 hot dogs would be epic. Crank it up to $3 or $5 or have some sort of package deal ($3 beers/$5 for a beer and dog until we float "X" number of kegs of cheap beer?). Tap it and they will come...
