UCSB gas only made one trey. I don't expect that to continue. If Daughtery can keep his hot hand and we can get a couple from Conner, though, we cold pull this one out. Unfortunatetly, this team has lost a lot of games this season in the second half.
Yea not sure how that wasn’t an offensive foul. Nico needs to be careful on these screens he’s setting, he’s going to get called and get his 4th. We will have no answer for them down low if that happens
I was wrong about the Gauchos hitting more 3s in the second half, but it's hard to believe how bad they've been from out there. If we win, that will be one of the main reasons. The other one being Daughtery's shooting.
Whew, bring on the Titans. That Sevilla is tough. I sure hope he can go tomorrow. Telling stat: Gauchos' A/TA was .42, Ags 1.3. Did any of you watching the game on ESPN+ get the impression that the commentators were pulling for Santa Barbara?
I didn’t feel like the commentators were really biased towards SB. They gave a lot of compliments to the Aggie players and Jim Les. They maybe overemphasized some of the impact of SB players in second half but it felt pretty balanced in my opinion. I watched all but the first 5 minutes of the game on ESPN +
This team really has grit. They just battle and battle without Cooper and Stokes. This was a very physical game and the Ags kept their composure, played smart and didn't let down when SB kept coming back.
Great grit from the team today. As much as I complain about Jim Les from time to time he really maximized the players available today. I also love his interactions with fans and the band after wins, happy to see he’s still riding that fun wave in Las Vegas.
The Gauchos won't miss playing the Aggies in the Big West anymore. That was our 3rd win over them this season and the 7th straight win stretching back 3 years. Who woulda' thought....
That was fun! Nerve wracking but fun. No panic, pure guts. Not sure what version on Conner we get tomorrow but let’s roll the dice and see what happens!
