SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Aug. 27, 2026) — KMAX, Sacramento's CBS-owned television station, and UC Davis Intercollegiate Athletics today announced a new broadcast partnership that will bring five UC Davis Aggies football games to Sacramento-area television screens during the 2026 season.

The five-game package gives fans throughout the Sacramento Valley free, over-the-air access to a UC Davis team that enters 2026 ranked No. 6 in the FCS. Under third-year head coach Tim Plough, the Aggies are coming off a 9-4 season and a fifth FCS playoff berth since 2018.

"This partnership puts Aggie football right in front of the fans who have supported this program for generations," Scott Warren, President and General Manager for KMAX, said. "We're proud to bring UC Davis' biggest home games of the season to Sacramento living rooms at no cost, and we can't wait to be part of this season with the Aggies."

The schedule opens Sept. 19 with UC Davis' home opener against Stetson, followed one week later by a marquee Big Sky Conference matchup against Montana — winner of a record 19 Big Sky championships and one of the FCS' winningest programs. KMAX will also carry UC Davis' October and November home dates against Northern Colorado, Utah Tech and Cal Poly, closing out the broadcast slate as the Aggies push toward the postseason.

UC Davis returns significant firepower on both sides of the ball in 2026, including 1,000-yard rusher Jordan Fisher, 1,000-yard receiver Samuel Gbatu Jr. and All-American tight end Winston Williams, anchored up front by All-FCS center Zaire Collier. Sophomore Treynor Cleeland takes over at quarterback after winning the job in fall camp. On defense, brothers Rex and Porter Connors return for a final season of eligibility — Porter an All-American linebacker and Rex an All-American defensive back who holds the program's all-time career tackles record.

Each broadcast will feature full game coverage, giving Sacramento-area fans an accessible way to follow the Aggies throughout their 2026 championship push.
