I have an extra ticket for Saturday’s game as my brother who I was going to meet cannot make it. Section 121. If you are interested DM me and I should be able to transfer the ticket.

It looks like there are still lots of tickets available at the 30 - 50 yardline on the Home side.

Man, it's such a shame that we can't fill out the stadium for playoffs. I know most FCS teams struggle with attendance this time of the year, but still...

We had 6317 in attendance vs. Illinois State in the second round last year. As long as we beat that number substantially, then I think we should be fine.

Great to see the big Sony cameras and box lenses in place to cover the game, camera operators out testing the field of view, huge production truck hooking up to the electronic infrastructure. I’ve never seen this much great equipment at an Aggie game.

I wonder how well they’ll cover a football disappearing into the descending fog….

The dumpster fire in Sacramento has distracted me from the task at hand. I've spoken with friends who have players there who have already been offered spots in Boulder. Let it burn...

If UC Davis Healthcare Stadium doesn't have 8-10k people there tomorrow night, changes need to be made. I'm not talking about firing people, but the marketing and outreach strategies will really need to be revisited. We heard excuses early in the week ranging from it being too cold, too late, too far, and the Saturday night before finals. That is the mindset of people who don't really care. I've been cold at football games, I've kept my children out too late to the point of crankiness and runny noses, I've driven countless hours to watch games, and I graduated from college while playing football and drinking beer and staying out too late and not studying. It's all a bunch of B.S. Figure it out in the meetings, figure out how to actually market football from successful programs (via actual social media content and barnstorming appearances) and stop with the "that's just the way we are" mentality. Get your asses and the asses of your friends to the game!

What you're going to see is an entertaining offensive football game with two elite quarterbacks dueling going against an elite pass rusher on both teams. Who will have the better protection plan for Pena and Psyk? The key to the game is Aggie pressure (especially from the Defensive Line) against URI's undersized Offensive Line. I'm confident Plough will dial-up 31-35 points against this D; can Rhody keep up? Can Davis avoid the turnover bug and win the Special Teams? I feel strongly about the later, we're better there.

Come early. Party. Take it all in. Enjoy the game. Stay late. Drive home safely. There's my game plan for a great freaking weekend in Davis, California, hope to see you there. GO AGS!!!

We know those aren't Big Sky officiating cameras! At least Marion won't have to worry about that next year

My app shows fog now and seems like tomorrow. Yuck. Flying in tonight from DC so not looking forward to spring in pea soup or trying to watch a game in that. Reminds me of the 1978 d2 playoff game against Eastern Illinois. Gotta wonder about the wisdom of playing an early morning or evening game this time of year. Will not be a good look on TV.

Like I said earlier, wouldn't it be priceless to see all the Rhody player's faces after thinking, "cool, we're heading out to Cali!" as they land in the fog in Sacramento with no sand, sun, or palm trees in sight! At least there's In-n-Out close by the freeway

There are currently chairback seats unsold on the 50. That means even donors and season ticket holders did not purchase. Truly pathetic. They need to do exactly as you suggest.

Tule fog is the worst fog on the planet, or at least a worthy nominee. It just pumps up out of the ground, darndest thing to watch it come up like that. Watch your speed heading down the Grapevine on a foggy morning or night; there is a low lying area just north of Tejon and that is where it starts. Rookie Angelinos start slamming on their brakes once that Tule fog hits them in the face. It is no joke.

LeFan, if there are available, good seats like that, someone with a UC Davis paycheck should start driving them to local businesses and potential donors and give them as comps from Sac to the Bay. Who cares if you take a loss this weekend, you make it up in good will and future considerations. Give them to the Development Office, the President, Sac State's President, whomever... It just frustrates me that I don't feel a radical effort to promote. Maybe it happens in and around campus and town and I just don't see it because I roll up on Saturdays, grab a beer and take my seat.

Rhode Island's offensive line is perhaps short but they are heavy.A little heavier than Davis overall.
On defense they are smaller. 2 light down linemen flanked by some big outside linebackers. It will be interesting how well Davis blocks them.

the ticket office are working the phones. Folks who bought tickets last year are getting called. I got called yesterday about my Jr Aggie passes (not valid due to NCAA) to see if we need more tickets for them.

The late start should help with students and younger fans, but hurt with older fans (including, as you noted, long time donors).

Can they give some tickets away to Davis, Woodland, and Dixon high schools? Grad students, staff?

I haven't looked at their measurables, just what I saw on TV last week. I thought their OL played well as a unit for sure, but I was not at all impressed with Central Connecticut. Any team that throws it 60+ times is no bueno to me. Their OL is obviously capable based on the QB's success, and he is very good. I guess what I'm saying is that I like the matchup for Davis.

I don't see the URI Defensive Line and their size posing an issue EXCEPT for Pena #8, he is definitely a disruptor. If I were calling the Offense, I would run right at them for a while and force them to commit numbers to the box, then start working all the play action passes to Simpson and crossers to Gbatu and Robbins and see how that goes. But I would stay stubborn with the run as long as possible.

    Is it Saturday night yet?!!!
