In addition to phase 1 of Aggie ascent stadium upgrade. One easier upgrade that can be done quickly to our stadium is to replace the bench style seating with more individual seats throughout the stadium, and to make them different shades of blue like PayPal park in San Jose. This also gives the illusion that more people are there even if it isn’t fully sold out. I also would like some cameras on the visitor side since lately the home side has been much fuller and not seen on TV. People are always surprised by my pics of the home side crowd since they see all the empty seats on the visitor side on TV.
Many of my medical professionals/colleagues/alums would only come if they get individual seats (comfort and getting a premium feel is important to many fans now)

very much correct that there is a market for upgrades short of going business or first class. Just look at the number of “premium coach” seats on airlines. Chairs are more comfortable but they take more space, like 18-24” per seat versus bleachers are often in the 14” range so you’d trade capacity.

As for TV, sure you have more high angle shots that catch the west side when going to commercial but otherwise you don’t want to switch sides too much on the viewer. Sac does this. They put the main cameras on the east side to catch the home grandstand, maybe so you don’t notice the east side is empty with the upper level tarped. It was disorienting because the broadcasters were on the west side and they’d cut to a west side camera to show the refs. So it was a lot of wait, who’s going which direction?

Does the CoHo no longer exist?

actually the coho is currently getting bigger and has introduced a ton of new things food wise. They also still do concerts as of this year I believe. Currently expanding the outdoor seating and dining prep areas

CoHo expanded into whete the Pub was, but the old Coffeehouse could be used for small concerts, maybe hold 200, 250? Intimate, homey. The Police allegedly played there early on.

So we lost our small, medium, and large venues.

How is it getting bigger? Where do they have concerts, what's the seating capacity? TYIA.

They are expanding the outdoor seating to build a new patio by the side of the coho facing wellman hall. They still do concerts occasionally by that side too. They are also expanding actual cooking and break area in the back so the workers on break don’t take up tables.

perhaps they can keep the main broadcast cameras on the roof of the visitor side concession stands and keep one camera on home side for occasional shots of Aggie pack and water tower.

They usually don’t want to face west into the sun and those structures on the visitor side are too low to provide a good angle.

they said that the football stadium is part of the 1st phase of Aggie ascent. So I would guess maybe start next offseason

My guess is the campus pays for a big portion w general campus use the other 300+ non-sports days. This augments the nearby ARC Ballroom, and helps fill the void of demolished Freeborn Hall.

Designed cost and remodel vs tearing out the complete press box/ Edward's Room and building one unified structure would be interesting.

Sinking large steel beams around and possibly into the existing structure to straddle and build ontop of it can't be cheap.
