These kids have been getting offers (not allowed!) for weeks. The number I heard a few weeks back was $400k from a Big10 school. That’s the NIL; revenue sharing directly from school will add at least $100k per year. Lots of pressure on them to take the money and move up.

I'd be the most concerned about the playoff game next week.

This is nothing new. I think for a long time, guys at the FBS level have opted out of bowl games and other post-seaon games as they set their sights on the NFL.

This one wasn’t surprising to me. When I heard Plough say out loud that Fisher is going to get more carries. Players of that caliber take offense to small jabs. Also think he’ll get big money offers. Other players to watch for:

Caden Pinnick (Will have to turn down money)
Drew Cofield (Will have to turn down money)
Sam Gbatu (Will have to turn down money)
William Fowler (Didn’t Play Much)
Marquise Bell (Didn’t play much)

This was week 3 or 4 when Plough said this.. Thought saying that publicly a mistake.

I felt Carter was better than Fisher and I’m sure Carter felt the same way. I’ll get crucified for saying this in here but I felt Carter was a Lan clone (maybe a bit better by his senior year) he just has an “it” factor. You can already feel his absence, we’re bad in the red zone now.

Fisher has him beat in straight line speed, but I agree that Vargas ran in a way that made you say "that's a special RB".

I think we lose Caden too.

I also think this is a big call for alumni to donate. We have to help build a fund to offer these guys a little more. It sucks to have to play the game, but that is the NIL world we live in.

I doubt that Plough saying he was going to give Fjsher more carries hurt Vargas' feelings. If you think back to the early season Fisher was the more likely one to have explosive plays, he had waited his turn during Lan's last year. Plough didn't follow though on it anyway.
By the way, the fall off in big explosive plays for the last month coincides with playing the best rushing defences on the schedule.
